INTERNATIONAL CORROSION CONTROL LIMITED (ICCL) was
established in 1982 to provide an oil field maintenance
engineering service in Nigeria. The company principally
carries out grit/sandblasting of oil producing and refining
facilities and application of high-performance coatings.
ICCL will ensure so far as is reasonably practical, the
health, safety, security and welfare of all its employees,
and health and safety of other people who may be affected by
the company’s activities.
To achieve the overall objective, the company will so far as
is reasonably practicable, takes steps to ensure the timely
identification of hazards and will seek to provide safe
plant and equipment, safe system of work and adequate
training, instructions and supervision of all employees.
In our company, we are aware that to achieve excellent
performance, efficient operations, must firmly married to
the requirements of sound HSES standards. HSES issues should
be considered an integral part of daily activities and and
should be managed with the same dedication as production and
cost control.
The company intends that its operation will comply with all
relevant legislation and codes of practice. The company will
make appropriate arrangement to ensure that it keeps
up-to-date regarding both its statutory and other
obligations and the hazards likely to be associated with any
of its activities.
All employees are required to take reasonable care of their
own health and safety and the health and safety of other
persons who may be affected by their work and to observe the
company’s safety rules and safe-systems of the work.
Most of the work of ICCL is carried out on the premises and
facilities of clients, ICCL employees are required to
observe the safety rules of the clients on whose premises
they are working.
The efficiency and effectiveness of ICCL`s HSES arrangements
depends crucially on good communications and the reliable
transfers of safety information between ICCL`s site
personnel and client’s staff, between site and head office
staff and between staff at head office.
It is the responsibility of all personnel to ensure that
information about hazards, which may not have been properly
detected or preventive measures, which may be inadequate, is
brought to the attention of their colleagues, supervisors or
subordinates.
Employees should seek the advice and help of their immediate
supervisor, in the first instance, if they wish to obtain
further information about any matter affecting their health,
safety and security at work. ICCL safety manual should be
referred to always.
